Turning off automatic calculation during takeoff

Note: This functionality is available only if you have the Estimating Module.

In the 9-5 Takeoffs window, you can select a Remind to Save option to remind you to save takeoffs at a specific interval. When you select this option, a Reminder Setting window appears, prompting you to specify the frequency of the reminders.

The Reminder Setting window also includes a Save without automatic recalculation check box. If you select this check box, you avoid recalculating a takeoff each time you save it. If your company has large takeoffs, selecting this option can save you considerable time. You can calculate the takeoff at any time, and the takeoff is calculated automatically whenever you open or save a takeoff.

Once selected, these options are saved as defaults for your company.
