Undoing a final Payroll computation

You can undo a final payroll computation without having to void each record. For example, if you accidentally select Final Computation instead of Trial Computation when computing payroll, you can immediately undo the effects of the final computation.

You can undo a final computation only if you opened the company as a company administrator and you have payroll admin security rights (if payroll security is turned on).

To undo a final computation:

  1. In the 5-2-3 Compute Payroll window, select the Undo Final Computation option.
  2. Use the Pay Period Ending, Employee, and Record fields to select the payroll records for which you want to undo the computation.

Note: You can undo payroll computations only for payroll records from the current or the prior payroll year.

  3. Select the [Undo Final Computation] button.
  4. Select [OK].

  • Reverts QTD and YTD totals for the calculations in the employee records to the amounts before the final computation.
  • Reverts quarterly and yearly earnings in the employee records to the amounts before the final computation.
  • Reverts accrued sick and vacation hours in the employee records.
