Enabling Sage Mobile Apps

Use the tools on this tab to enable Sage 100 Contractor to communicate securely with Sage mobile apps, such as the Time app.

When you enable access to mobile apps, Database Administration performs a several tasks to ensure that Sage 100 Contractor can connect to your cloud server. For example, it checks that IIS and Windows Activation Service are installed and configured properly, and it opens required communication ports on your server.

To enable Sage Mobile apps:

  1. Click [Request Invitation] to ask Sage to activate your Azure Active Directory account.

    Note: Sage 100 Contractor includes an Azure Active Directory account.

    Sage will email a confirmation and further instructions to the email account associated with your Sage ID.

  2. After you receive the confirmation email and follow the instructions to activate your AAD account, click [Install Proxy] to install the Azure Active Directory Account Proxy (AADAP).

    Note: Azure Active Directory Application Proxy is software that enables remote users to connect securely to your on-premises Sage 100 Contractor server.

    When the installation process is complete, the button changes to [Uninstall Proxy]. Do not click it unless you need to uninstall and then reinstall the AADAP.

You should only have to performs these steps once, unless you change the Sage 100 Contractor server.

After enabling Sage Mobile Apps

In Sage 100 Contractor, use the 7-2-3 Mobile Users window to set up mobile users and send them an email inviting them to use Sage mobile apps.

You also use the Sage 100 Contractor application to review, approve, and post entries sent by Sage Mobile users.

If you change the Sage 100 Contractor server, you will need to uninstall, and then reinstall the AADAP. In this case, click [Uninstall Proxy].
